Honestly the first time we made a visit to the ISM, I wasn't expecting much... how exciting could a state museum be? But I was pleasantly surprised and have been back a couple of times since. This museum is large, has many interactive exhibits and appeals to all ages (kids can actually have fun here). This museum participates in a program called Community Tuesdays whereby standard admission is discounted 50% on the first Tuesday of each month. The museum also features an IMAX theatre (Community Tuesday discount does not apply to IMAX admission). PS - check out the exterior of the building, there are sculptures commemorating each of the 92 Indiana counties!
